As a survivor of many types of abuse from birth to right before I started my senior year of high school, I was born into a generational satanic cult, sex trafficked by four family members, and experienced awful things you don’t want to imagine. After years of feeling ashamed about what happened to me, I finally realized in 2022 that I was not the one who should be ashamed. The abusers should be. I discovered that telling my story and supporting other survivors has helped me heal. It also permits others to share their story.

“There will always be those who profit from human misery by targeting vulnerable people for exploitation. Thanks to technology, human trafficking, and exploitation is a public health epidemic, and law enforcement cannot address it alone. The only hope lies in collaborating with critical stakeholders like the Sentinel Foundation, who bring skills, resources, and passion for empowering law enforcement to recover victims and arrest traffickers more effectively and efficiently.” - Kevin Metcalf

FILTER was created by sisters and co-founders Hallie House and Hannah George to combat the serious and harmful impacts we are seeing social media have on our young people. With 10 children between the two of them, ages 4 to 17, they found that although there are plenty of resources for parents on the dangers of unbridled smartphone and social media use on teens, there was little on the market that actually focused on educating the pre-teens and teens. Spurred on by this realization FILTER was born.
I spent most of my childhood without a permanent male role model in my life. And, the few men that were in my life were less-than-stellar examples of what it meant to be a man.
That’s why I started Order of Man – to give men a community and resource to become better. Better at what you ask? All facets of life, from self-mastery to family, from money to contribution, and everywhere in between.
